Features:
Fully plug-n-play design
Our harnesses are designed to work with OEM or flashed ECUs, stock dash, and all OEM engine connectors. These bad boys drop right into any 08-16 R6 with zero modifications to the motorcycle or electronics.
Brand-new Connectors and wire
All of our harnesses are made with brand new OEM connectors, pins, and seals. The only parts you need to retain from your stock harness are the primary ignition relay (Two red wires, two fuses, and a four pin connector by the ECU), the fuel pump relay (Black box right behind the battery), fan relay, and the main 50A fuse. We can include brand new Yamaha relays and fuse if you want a true drop-in solution for a motorcycle with no existing electronics.
Concentric Twist Harness Design
What is Concentric twisting and why do we do it?
Concentric twisting is the art of inversely wrapping each layer of wires around a central "core". This technique is used by professional race teams in Nascar, F1, and many other motorsports and industries. The primary benefits of concentric twist harnesses are the excellent flexibility and protection from electromagnetic interference in the innermost wires - plus it looks amazing!
Durable wire sleeving
We utilize high quality TechFlex cable wrap and heat shrink - which is resistant to all engine fluids, has high temperature resistance, and is self-extinguishing. No corrugated plastic covers or electrical tape to hide the crimes present in other harnesses. *Additional colors/designs available by request. Additional fees for custom coloring
Engine Sub-harness design
Our Race harnesses are designed for quick service and removal of the engine or sensors. The main feed from the rear of the motorcycle terminates into a Duestch twist-lock connector located under the fuel rail. Once disconnected, the engine can be removed without disconnecting ANY engine sensors or connectors. We have also added a convenient plug in-line to the starter 12v feed so you don’t have to snake your hands in there with two 10mm wrenches every time - cool, right? *Purchase extra engine and front sub-harnesses HERE *Link to sub-harness pages
Enhanced protection from crashes
While we all try to avoid it, crashing is just a part of racing a motorcycle. We relocated the rectifier and designed our harnesses to be routed entirely inside the frame of the motorcycle to keep wiring and connectors out of harm’s way when the worst-case scenario becomes reality. No more crushed wires or brittle plastic brackets on the radiator.
Relocated fuse box
We relocated the fuse box to the rear of the motorcycle, and repurposed the headlight and signal fuse locations for two fused 12v circuits that run to the engine harness and front sub-harness for any accessories you wish to add. No more hunting for power!
Optional gear indicator
We all wish these bikes came with gear indicators built-in, but they don’t. The next best thing is to add an aftermarket gear indicator by one of several manufacturers. We’ve partnered with HealTech to offer a pre-wired gear indicator that runs through the main harness with no mess! We can ship you a gear indicator pre-wired, or add in the connector and pre-run the wires to the front dash area for easy wiring in of your own indicator.
Entirely Plug-n-Play with flashed or OEM ECUs
Our harness is designed to work with your OEM or flashed ECU. The exhaust servo is removed in our base-harness, but if you are not using a flashed ECU that removes the servo check engine light, we’re happy to include a HealTech Servo Buddy to remove the check engine light pre-wired and ready to go.
You’re our biggest fan!
Unlike some other harnesses on the market, we have kept the original fan relay and fused fan circuits to run one or both of your fans. We can also direct-wire your fans to a switch on your handlebar *additional lead time and cost
Key-Delete built-in
What race bikes still have keys? The answer should be none if you ask us. Our harnesses include key-deletes built in. The 06-16 R6 requires the key circuit and ignition circuit to both be switchable to enter Diagnostic mode on the dash. We offer a simple in-line adaptor that allows you to operate the key circuit and ignition circuit independently. Select the “Add diagnostic mode adaptor” option during purchase to include one with your harness.
Clutch Switch Retention
Our harnesses retain the OEM clutch switch circuit. Most racers unknowingly delete the clutch switch when they remove the headlight plug on the left side of the radiator. This can get you in trouble if you stall on the starting line, since the bike won’t restart while in gear. Other aftermarket harnesses bypass the switch entirely, but that allows you to accidentally start the bike in gear and potentially damage your tire warmers. We ran the clutch switch wires to the front sub-harness for a clean and easy connection to the sensor on your stock clutch perch. Don’t have a clutch sensor? No worries! We include a bypass jumper pre-installed in every harness.
Every harness is QC tested
Every one of our harnesses is QC tested before it leaves our facility in Denver CO. We utilize PLC I/O to verify continuity through every wire and connector to ensure you receive a fully functional product. But not to worry - we still offer a money-back guarantee or replacement if there are any issues with your wiring harness.
Coming soon:
We’ve partnered with TransLogic to develop an in-line adaptor to connect your translogic system right underneath the gas tank to avoid the clutter and mess of running your wires to the front of the engine. We can provide pre-wired Translogic QS+AB ECUs, or include a wiring kit and instructions to terminate the connections on your own. The in-line adaptor harness is 100% reversible and does not require any splicing or cutting of the primary and sub-harnesses. *Only compatible with TLS-QSXi-YK-DCS-108 quick shifter and TLS-BA4-R6-ECU auto blip Translogic systems.
